In-game purchase not working

Very upset with this game. I PAID to get unlimited battles however the upgrades do not work for me but will for my opponent. This is extremely upsetting because I paid money to get access to battles and for them to not work properly is very frustrating. I would like a refund since I did not receive what I paid for.
